The Read-A-Thon is the PTO’s primary fundraiser and it is a great way for students and families to raise money for Madison and celebrate the magic of reading!
The PTO provides grants for teachers and staff to improve our classrooms and our school. We provide buses for field trips, funds for a Science Expo for all students, and put on events like movie nights and dances. We fund these initiatives through this fundraiser.
The annual Read-a-Thon fundraiser is a 4-week reading challenge. Students obtain pledges from their families and community to read for 20 minutes a day at home and/or at school. They track their reading and submit weekly tracking reports. They turn in their pledges at the end of the month. Prizes are awarded to students based on tracking sheets returned.
